Based on social media, WE are having an amazing summer in HAWK NATION! So, with adventure comes an opportunity to excel with academics. It is time for US to ensure that our students return to you daily saying, “This is the BEST DAY EVER!” As a team of professionals, we are committed to providing our scholars with “THE EXPERIENCE!”
THE EXPERIENCE is our theme for the school year! This simply means that EVERYDAY we will work towards steady improvement in every area to include and not limited to: Attendance, Academics, and PERFECT HAWK BEHAVIOR.
My educational philosophy is to ensure that students and teachers have a positive atmosphere to excel. I believe that by providing students with a meaningful education that is student-centered, engaging, authentic, and innovative, as well as one that integrates technology, and promotes an appreciation for life-long learning, CHANGING THE WORLD is possible. I believe that All children can learn from dedicated educators who provide students with the necessary tools needed to lead productive lives. I believe that it is our responsibility to provide our pupils with experiences WORK that will nurture and guide them to be BETTER THAN THEY WERE YESTERDAY. With 700 plus students, the size of Harper is ideal for students to receive the proper attention they deserve in a safe learning environment. The success of our students depends on the active involvement of their parents/guardians, the school family, as well as the community
It is my goal that Harper Elementary School becomes the premier institution for students to be educated in the city, the district, the state, and the nation. Towards that end, our students must have vicarious experiences that will make the Georgia Performance Standards come to life!
We will make sure that we create mountaintop experiences for our children near and around Valley Hill Road!
